Cell culture laboratory
Cell culture is the process of growing different eukaryotic and prokaryotic cells in the laboratory. Due to the increase of researchers in various fields of biology and the implementation of numerous biological and medical projects in laboratories, cell culture has helped researchers by reducing the number of animal deaths and simplifying techniques. It is very costly and somewhat immoral to use a living thing for studying various diseases of humans and other living things due to the loss of a large number of those living things in various experiments. Especially in humans, it is not possible to test directly on humans to find a cure for a disease.
It demonstrates the importance of the cell culture technique, and when a drug is suggested for a disease, the cell culture technique can be used
to first treat the cells which are in the flask to ensure that the drug is effective, and if results are promising, it can be tested on living things.
Cell culture laboratory of Burn and Reconstructive Medicine Research Center of Guilan University of Medical Sciences
with the most up-to-date facilities in the field of cell culture and having an isolated culture room separated from
other laboratories, has created a suitable space for various projects. It helps students to do their research projects in
this field.
