Investigation of the causative factors of candidiasis in blood culture samples of burn patients admitted to the Velayat Hospital

According to the public relations of the Burns and Regenerative Medicine Research Center of Guilan University of Medical Sciences: The research project entitled "Identification of causative agents of candidiasis in blood samples of burn patients admitted to the Velayat Hospital in 2021" was reviewed. In this meeting, the present proposal was evaluated by presenting the medical student "Parimah Pournasrollah Haji Sarayi, with the participation of the relevant professors and the jury.

Due to the high mortality rate among to the candidiasis in burn patients, as well as the variety of factors and their distribution and the increasing incidence of fungal infections due to predisposing conditions in burn patients, continuous evaluation of these factors and knowledge of the rate, they are more important than ever. Identifying the causative agents of candidiasis in blood culture samples of burn patients can be effective in reducing mortality due to this disease, in addition to filling the information gap.
